Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 10 years experience or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 5 years experience. Candidates with a management degree will be preferred. Should have sound experience in electrical operations and maintenance, Diesel Generators.
Pay Scale: Suitable candidate will be placed in Level 11 with a minimum pay of Rs. 67,700/- per month plus DA and other benefits as per Institute Norms
Desired Skills: 1. Should be computer literate and proficient in Auto CAD and MS-Office. 2. Should possess strong analytical and communication skills. 3. Should have the ability to plan, direct or coordinate activities and communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders such as faculty, staff & student members, administrators, commercial and government entities, consultants, statutory & regulatory authorities, any other external agencies, etc. 4. Should have the ability to lead and guide a team of supervisors and technicians in providing technical solutions to daily service calls for timely completion of works. 5. Should be technically driven to maintain smooth operation of Institute facilities and to handle any other responsibility, as and when decided by management.
Job Responsibilities: 1. Should have sound knowledge of Electrical Operations and Maintenance, Operations & Maintenance of, Diesel Generators. 2. Candidates should have handled electrical works includes HT and LT side with a knowledge of maintaining substations, interconnected panels, cables, etc. located at many locations within the campus 3. Should be well versed with preparation of annual maintenance contracts for Electrical Maintenance, Diesel Generators and facilities management in general. 4. Attending to the preventive maintenance check list for operation & maintenance of electrical equipment 5. Maintaining and running the electrical operations within an allocated budget. 6. Using performance management techniques for monitoring and demonstrating achievement of agreed service levels to lead on improvement. 7. Responding appropriately to emergencies
or urgent issues as they arise. 8. Creating proper work and operation flow for electrical maintenance work and leading the maintenance team for operation and maintenance work as per planned preventive maintenance schedule. 9. Constructing annual preventive and predictable maintenance plan for all services. 10. Promoting energy efficiency and other sustainability initiatives. Implementing innovative designs to enhance the working efficiency of services. 11. Ensuring that all building services meet health and safety requirements and environmental legislations.
