Qualification: (i) A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines. (ii) A Master‘s Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed. (iii) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed UGC-CARE list journals and a total research score of Seventy five (75) as per the criteria given in Table A of Application Form.
Pay Scale: Rs.37,400-Rs.67,000/- + AGP Rs.9,000/-
Age Limit: 60 Years
Job Responsibilities: 1. To take up interdisciplinary research in collaboration with other researchers and project-based partners. 2. To write research reports/papers and to analyse quantitative and qualitative data using appropriate tools. 3.To take up research-related fieldwork that at times will require long periods of stay in remote rural areas. 4. To take up teaching/mentoring activities for PhD scholars and other researchers. 5. To write research proposals and seek funding from different agencies. 6. To take up any other academic and administrative activities assigned by NCDS. 7. Selected candidates have to abide by rules and regulations of the institute, as amended from time to time and also as per terms and conditions indicated in the offer letter.
