Qualification: M.Sc (Physics/Optics) or M.Tech/M.Sc (Tech) (Optical Engineering/Astronomy Instrumentation/Optics) from a reputed Institution or
University with one or more years of experience.
Pay Scale: Rs. 60,000/- per month (Consolidated)
Age Limit: Below 32 years
Experience Requirements: Experience in designing optical systems using optical design software packages such as ZEMAX/CODE-V/ASAP, test and calibration of optical components and integration and calibration of optical instruments
Job Responsibilities: Carrying out design, modeling and analyzing of optical components and systems, test and calibration of optical subsystems, integration and calibration of space optical pay-loads and preparation of reports.

General Instructions: 1. The appointment is purely temporary on contract basis and does not confer any privilege or benefit applicable to regular employment. No claim whatsoever for regular employment in the Institute shall be entertained. 2. The tenure of appointment is initially for one year, may last till the duration of the project and will co-terminus with the project completion. Continuation of contract of appointment is subject to satisfactory performance of the candidate and requirement of the project as judged by the Institute on annual basis. 3. It is open to the Institute to conduct written test to shortlist the candidates for interview in case the attendance of candidates is more. 4. The remuneration indicated is a consolidated and is inclusive of all allowances. 5. There will be annual increase in the remuneration based on satisfactory performance. 6. The date of determining the upper age limit, qualifications and experience shall be the closing date prescribed for receipt of completed applications. 7. Age relaxation is permissible to SC, ST & OBC candidates and also to physically handicapped candidate as notified by Government of India from time to time.
