Qualification: BE / B.Tech (Mechanical)
Pay Scale: Rs. 1,20,000- 2,80,000 /- (for DR basis) / Rs. 1,55,000/- pm (for PRCE basis)
Age Limit: (i) Max. 59 years for DR basis (ii) Age limit of min. 58 years and
max. 61 years for PRCE basis
Eligibility Criteria: The candidates must be IRSME officer with more than 25 years’ total experience including more than 10 years’ experience in the field of design, manufacturing, testing, homologation related activities of Rolling Stock.
Job Responsibilities: The incumbent of the post shall be responsible to perform the following activities – (a) Review the specification of Rolling Stock proposed for procurement with a view to achieve the required performance parameters. (b) Monitor design, testing, manufacturing, inspection, commissioning in service and resolution of in-service problems specially with respect to mechanical components. (c) Developing in house competence for Finite Element Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Vehicle Dynamic simulation etc. with a view to evaluate the design proposed and undertake improvement in specifications. (d) Steer all homologation activities. (e) Review of operation and maintenance manuals. (f) Review of maintenance regime, infrastructure etc.
